What's a jail bet?
A jail bet is basically a last longer bet with more punishment. In a last longer bet you bet who makes it the furthest in the main draw of a tournament, say $100. Well, with a jail bet every round the person who won the bet makes it further than you compounds the bet. If they make it two more rounds you lose $200, 3 more round $300, etc...
What was the prop you and Sander played and which side did you play?
He was playing Katja and a position came up where she had a 65 to play. (dmp I believe) I was watching because he had won our jail bet already and I was rooting for Katja to stop the bleeding. After we played that out as a prop, whether running was correct or not. It was slightly wrong (I forget by how much) but I remember still being happy she ran v. Sander simplifying the game.
You owe Sander. Sander owes David. David owes you. I don't see the problem in swapping/cancelling out the amounts which can be cancelled out. Pls explain why this is a bad idea.
You putting this sentence together doesn't do it for you? If I play someone he owes me, not someone that owes him owes me. That is neither here nor there. You don't intermingle a third person in your bets, it just complicates things. Someone else can list a million examples if they feel like it, I don't have time today.
You don't remember how much you have already paid Sander. Hopefully you remember how much you still owe him
Yes, I do. Doesn't matter how much I paid him, matters how much I owe him.
In Danish we have a saying which directly translated to English is "you should not throw stones when you live in a glass house". The meaning of this is that you should not criticize others for their faults if you have the same fault yourself
We have the exact same expression. The situations are not the same. Also, as I already said, I have contacted Sander to resolve this if he sees it as any sore spot or problem.
