On another subject, I think PR is a very, very strong measure, but somewhat overrated in match play. While hard to quantify, competitiveness, stamina, and attitude are very important too. There are many excellent players in our game that have had very good results, consistently, for many years that do not play with a PR as low as those mentioned in my previous post. Some of them may have been lucky, but many are very good at playing the opponent, keeping a positive attitude, and being tenacious competitors. Another measure that would be nice to have is the OPR (Opponents PR). I would not be surprised if some of these players are able to get their opponents to play more poorly than the top rated PR players do.
