But these posts are a comedy, and more so, a reality show. They're all about something real that happens, is happening in the backgammon world, all the time.

I imagine that nobody is laughing harder than Jacob Rice himself. Because, he knows that if you put him in a quiet room to play backgammon anaginst ANYONE in the world he can reproduce his performance.

Stick explained in one post why he plays better online than in a bustling tournament room, his reasons made a lot of sense of to me and I don't remember if others commented on them?

This guy must be from another planet, he was probably one of the first to post online really long rollouts on opening rolls, up to roll 3 I think, but we don't know if he is secretly keeping his rollouts of 4th, 5th, 6th and beyond the galaxy rollouts to himself - afterall, aliens have much better and faster computers than we do.

I have never met Stick and have communicated with him personally by email only a few times since he landed on Earth, but I must say he has done a supercalifragilistic job with this site, could make lots of money with it but for him, it has never been about that.

And I like his attitude, he is a matter-of-fact yet at the same time IDGAS type of guy and I admire him for it, because he gets away with it.

So, does he have to prove he can play that well? No.

Will he? Probably.

And you know what? When he does, he still be laughing... at those who lost money betting he could not. I'll take $50 on that he can and I am willing to send the money right now by PayPal to any Giant of Backgammon to hold onto until the results decide.

And if I am wrong, I lose $50 (not much to cry over) and I will sadly discover that Stick is not an extraterrestrial, and if I win I will donate the $100 to the USBGF. Who's game?
