Interesting Evaluations of GnuBG

There is something strange with the below evaluations of the same position from gnubg (1-ply and 3-ply):
a) 1-ply:
The score (after 0 games) is: gnubg 5, poseidon 2 (match to 7 points)
Move number 4: poseidon on roll, cube decision?
gnubg 83
poseidon 82 Position ID: 7O0NBAA29xYBAA Match ID: UQngAFAAEAAA • poseidon doubles
Cube decision 1-ply cubeless equity +0.207 (Money: +0.207) 0.604 0.000 0.000 - 0.396 0.000 0.000 Cubeful equities: 1. Double, pass +1.000 2. Double, take +1.038 +0.038 3. No double +0.675 -0.325 Proper cube action: Redouble, pass
B) 3-ply:
The score (after 0 games) is: gnubg 5, poseidon 2 (match to 7 points)
Move number 4: poseidon on roll, cube decision?
gnubg 83
poseidon 82 Position ID: 7O0NBAA29xYBAA Match ID: UQngAFAAEAAA • poseidon doubles
Cube decision 3-ply cubeless equity +0.207 (Money: +0.207) 0.603 0.000 0.000 - 0.397 0.000 0.000 Cubeful equities: 1. Double, pass +1.000 2. Double, take +1.037 +0.037 3. No double +0.869 -0.131 Proper cube action: Redouble, pass
What is strange is that although the evaluations of the same position (1-ply and 3-ply) were the same the cube evaluations were totally different. In fact in 1-ply it is a HUGE blunder not to double, where in 3-ply is it a just a normal blunder! The only thing that I can think of is the valuation of the joker rolls volality), of both black and red (responses).
Any ideas?
