Nevzat vs Michi final explained to mere mortals

With a newfound motivation to study some backgammon, today I decided to learn by observing the pros. I loaded the recently posted Monaco final between Nevzat and Michi, with the idea to learn by comparing what I would have played with what the players actually did. Lo and behold it did not take long to stumble upon a position that I couldn't explain. This is position 12 from the first game, Nevzat is to play 55.
White is Michi
score: 0
pip: 13025 point match pip: 152
score: 0
Blue is NevzatXGID=-a-BCBB-----c---BcbcDba---:0:0:1:55:0:0:0:25:10 Blue to play 55
eXtreme Gammon Version: 2.03
I cannot really explain the difference or the reasoning behind playing 20/15(2) 16/11(2) and 20/10(2). The resulting position between the two plays is very similar (at least to me). I cannot really understand why one is correct and the other is an error.
Any insight into the decision process behind this will be very helpful.
Thanks,
Mike
