playing less that 2 in a 5 point match would be more difficult (permitted only making few moves and getting blitzed every game doesnt count getting blitzed one is acceptable). Ive been playing backgammon for three years and for the first time just a few days ago played a seven point match against xg under 2 where no more than 2 points were earned each game.(no gammons on 2cube or 4 cube games). I play 9 ball pool occasinally and ive ran a rack several times with no training or help from anyone. Ive taken lessons in backgammon studied on my own, played tournaments, chouettes and getting a fresh student to play under 2 in a 5 point match is much harder. If you said under 6 I then think getting the student to run a 9 ball rack may be easier. The likleyhood of running a rack over time is much higher than playing a match under 2. you can luck up and run a rack eventually with no training you cant luck up with a pr under 2.
