ISTAVDER BG TOURNAMENT SYSTEM

Hi,
Our bg club ISTAVDER has been established in 2008. Until then we have made several tournaments and bg leagues. What's more we have made 4 major tournaments in Cyprus. Currently, we are trying to build a "real" bg federation in our country which is accepted by the government.
In almost all tournaments our members were dissatisfied with the classical tournament system. When the player lost the main event, he or she lost the motivation to complete the tournament. Most of the players even did not attend the last chance.
Finally, we have decided to build a system where the player will have chance to be the champion until he losts 3 matches. Even in that stituation the player has a chance to play for the last chance.
This system has two problems :
1) The number of matches increases 2) The tournament system is complex to manage
For the first problem, we have decreased the match length from 13 to 7 point matches. Players have to be at the table on predefined times. Each player knows their first three opponents to play. Finally, players do not have any chance to take a break during the match.
In order to manage such complexity we need a software! One of our members Ali ALCELIK has developed a good software based on PHP. This software is able to manage all pairings, byes and also has a good user interface.
