The "it is getting old" argument is hogwash. It was old day two of the internet, get over it and help each other understand how to use the resources of the internet efficiently.

Ben, thank you for your comment. Perhaps it should have been as clear to me as it apparently is to yourself that Rick's email was responding to a post here and not to an email. It's also interesting to learn that at least one person thinks it's perfectly all right to broadcast privately sent emails whenever they're perceived to be as offensive as you and the original poster apparently perceive Rick's to be. We'll have to disagree about that. I'm more taken aback by the "arrogant prick" name calling, the like of which there is too much here already.

But I'm getting a bit testy myself now. I may be wrong, and it may not matter, but you don't appear to have the slightest idea of what I have done over the last sixteen years to help others learn about backgammon and to use the internet to find answers to their backgammon questions. That's why I don't much appreciate your telling me what I need to "get over" and what I should do to help anyone, as if I never had. Never mind that a person in possession of only "a few" reference positions could easily multiply that number by typing "backgammon reference positions" in a Google search box. That doesn't seem to have been the point of Rick's email. Perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned it. It is, nevertheless, true.
