2-point matches with doubling cube

The Las Vegas Open web page (http://www.nvbg.com/) has an event that caught my attention:

" Mini-Match Event $20 entry fee. 2-point matches with doubling cube. Re-entries allowed and encouraged. 85% return. "

I thought a 2-point match is the same as 2-away, 2-away, which means that it's an automatic double for both players. So, why the cube or conversely, isn't that the same as double-match point? What did I miss?
