UK Masters Update

Only three Americans made the trip -- I suspect there will be more at the Nordic Open in Copenhagen and certainly more in Cannes following the Monte Carlo World Championship tourney.

Carter Mattig lost in the first round but has won four straight in the consolation -- now has to play Tardieu, and then, perhaps, Falafel if both Carter and Falafel win in this round.

Gary Bauer won in the first round main and lost in the second round. He then won a consolation match before losing again.

Ed O'Laughlin, certainly the most experienced/accomplished player of the three, lost his first two.
