Skill in Money Games vs Matches

When playing against a weaker player, matches seem to even out the luck factor and contrast the skill differences due to complex cube actions and checker plays that need to consider the given score (TPs/GVs/etc).

Money games don't offer this benefit due to their simpler and constant structure.

My question: Is playing money game "sessions" the only way to try and give the better player a bigger "probabilistic sample space" to work with or I'm I way off here?

I hope I made my question clear enough and please forgive any false affirmations made along the way.
