My first instinct is 6/4(2), equalizing boards and preparing to attack White's blot, rather than stepping up when behind in the race.

On the other hand, 23/21(2) will cut down on gammon losses, which is important ATS. Also, even if we successfully start attacking, it's hard to extricate our back checkers, which are not at the edge of White's prime. If White's 8pt checkers were on her 9pt then I'd play 6/4(2) for sure. Here I don't know. I'm still inclined to play 6/4(2) but I think it's close.
