Off course your reasoning about these positions seems to be really incomplete.... If you want I will send you a lot of similar positions which the race lead versus one checker back plus threats wont result in double and pass....(just in case, a small variation in the first position would result in double\take)

Of course even small variations can make a big difference but the two positions posted I don't think the take / pass decision is close enough for me to look in to it any further.

It just comes from experience I guess.

Please post the small variation double take of the first position (I like to learn lots of reference positions)
