San Antonio match transcriptions

Most of the early matches in the Duel-duel contest were transcribed directly into XG by myself, Bill Riles and Rory. Other volunteers who are experienced with XG transcribed later matches.
A very interesting finals, at MCG was playing Akiko and Matt let the time run out on his clock which gave Akiko the championship, as stated in the rules. MCG is a genius, an amazing player, and he can remember every move of a 9 point match well enough to recreate it later, but he can't remember to look at the damn clock!
As we were watching the Super Bowl together later that night, I mentioned that it appeared that Baltimore had the same strategy at Matt's--just let the clock run out. The difference was they won by doing it!
As for making the matches available, I have them on my computer but I will not release them without permission from Bill Riles and/or the players.
In answer to another question, to my knowledge no one has come up with a program that will convert a video into XG plays.
The best and fastest way to record a match is the way I play most of my matches in our weekly Chicago club events...we play on XG instead of a board.
Thanks to Xavier's skills, transcribing a match while in progress is fairly easy with XG. In each of the matches I was recording, I only had to ask the players to stop a total of 3 times to correct an entry error, and correction of the entry was quite simple when you learn how.
You might be interested to know that we used extremely high settings: XGR+ on the first pass and ++ if a different play or error was made, gigantic search window, no outplays.
