Yes a wonderful location and I preferred to spend most of the first couple days sight seeing rather than playing BG, noting that I don't usually play every event offered anyhow so as to try to avoid being in conflicts if I end up doing well in several events.

I'd had many worries that there was simply too much BG here being crammed into to too few days, noting that the USBGF was also running a National Champs, but the staff pulled it off with few issues. There were a couple matches rescheduled earlier than I'd like to play (9 am), however, I had no issues having to play the conso QF's at 10 am rather than 10:30 am. (I'd have bitched if was forced to play at 9:30 Sunday)

Having a progressive LC also helped move the main ABT event along, freeing up players sooner for other events. We also were fortunate that the same players weren't in the final rounds of most events.

Patrick Gibson, has always done a great job of anticipating and finding delays in events and in getting those affected players to start playing promptly.

San Antonio is simply delightful with so many nearby things to do and a multitude of good food along the River Walk.

The trophy I got for winning the conso certainly qualifies as a work of art and will help beautify my home.

I urge everyone to put this great event on their schedule for 2014.

I served on the tournament committee so I had to be involved in a ruling and also consulting with the directors and all this was done fairly, professionally, and democratically.

Thx again to Bill, Patrick, Tara et all for a wonderfully run event.
