For Xavier: Do versions 2.03 and 2.10 use the same rollout engine?

In BGO Msg. No. 136669, Xavier states that he, “changed the engine version to 4.40...” Does this mean that a rollout of a given position done under version 2.03 might get a slightly different result than one done under version 2.10 using the identical seed? If so, does it not also mean that a rollout begun under 2.03 should not be extended under 2.10? Or rather, that if it is extended, it becomes a hybrid of 2.03 and 2.10? Mike
