Position 1 Beige has as many checkers to get around the board as does Brown. Beige is suffering from Too Many Points (TMP -- seven points, none of which breaks easily). Throw in the fact that Brown actually OWNS the cube now so he gets the option of when to use it if he keeps it -- not the same as a centered cube. There is surely a bit of matchscore effect with the cube going to 4. If I were in Brown's shoes I would relish getting cubed here. Yes, Brown could hit and then Beige could fan, which may be a pass but I'm not sure. (So if you're playing me, you definitely want to wait.)

No Redouble for me.

Just a suggestion -- if you have two positions to post, do so in separate threads. Two in the same thread tends to discourage those who only want to comment on only one of the two.
