Blue is RealNickXGID=-BABBbE------A----cdcBba--:0:0:1:62:0:2:3:0:10 Blue to play 62 I think you already have a pretty good idea what my thought process is worth. Nevertheless, here we go...
Usually, the player who breaks anchor first in a mutual holding game becomes this underdog. See today’s OLM for an example. Your position, however, may be an exception. Blue is forced to offer up a shot anyway, so in breaking his anchor, he is simply moving the location of that shot from one side of the board to the other.
In addition, if Blue holds anchor, White is set to jump out with both checkers, and claim outfield control. If left unchallenged, he will become the favorite to bring his checkers home. By remaking the midpoint here, Blue stakes his claim in the outfield. White will have many pick-and-cover numbers, as well as some POH plays, but as I said, White will become the favorite even if Blue does not run out.
