Things that go bump in the night

I normally limit myself to one position per post, but this game unfolded oddly, and ended with me embarrassing myself. I submit it to you for your analysis and/or mockery.

I began with 65: 24/13. My opponent surprised me by responding with 62: 24/16.

It was a late night match, and my opponent clearly knows better, so I'll chalk the strange response up to sleep deprivation.

That left me with this...

White is Player 2

score: 0
pip: 159
7 point match
pip: 156
score: 1

Blue is Player 1
XGID=-a----E-Ca--eF---c-e----A-:0:0:1:63:1:0:0:7:10
Blue to play 63

eXtreme Gammon Version: 2.10.195.pre-release

I wasn't sure what to do with this. I finally settled on 24/18 13/10, trying to run a bit and make use of a bit of duplication. What would you have done?

Fortunately, my opponent missed...

White to play 32

The 3 is obvious, but what's the best 2?

My opponent played 16/13 6/4, leaving me with this 65 to play.

Seemed simple enough to me. How about you?
