Who is Frank "Banana" Raposa?

For those of you wondering who is this kid.....

The 2013 ABT Beltway BG Open Champion.

The 2012 Beltway Backgammon Club Player of the Year.

The Northern Virginia Backgammon Club Player of the Year Four Consecutive Years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011.

Team member on the Beltway Bandits USBGF On-Line Club Finalists 2012, with Bob Koca and Alfred Mamlet.

MCG lookalike.

Why do I call him "Banana".....well when Frank first started coming to the Northern VA club in 2007, we noticed that he always was sneaking bananas into Bailey's where we play on Monday nights because he was a young college grad working temp jobs and was being frugal. We teased him about it and decided if there was one well known BG player with a food based nickname that is fairly famous. We needed a local guy with food nickname.

Yesterday the BG world saw a fully ripe "Banana"................

Congrats, Frank....tonight, come to Bailey's and we will celebrate with Bananas!!!
