Jeb, you may recall that leaving two checkers of different colors on the same point is exactly what I did in the final game of the finals of the 2006 Cardinal Classic (part of that year's Charlotte ABT). I was on the bar and threw a number that hit two of my opponent's checkers ... thus virtually locking up my win. But, in my excitement, I failed to put one of my opponent's checkers on the bar ... leaving two checkers of different colors on the same point. We called you (the TD) over and pleaded our cases. I cited the fact that I hadn't played live backgammon in many years ... just played online ... where the computer prevents human stupidity and enforces legal moves only. You eventually ruled in my favor. Whew! Thank you.

I've never forgotten that incidence and your ruling. That was one of my motivations behind my starting the Durham/Chapel Hill (NC) Backgammon Club and why we comply with ABT rules ... to give locals a chance to play live according to ABT rules ... so they won't make mistakes like I made in 2006.
