1. Its after the 2nd full roll of each player (e.g. after the fourth play of the game).

2. The two different color checkers on a point, has a long standing precedent and that is "that we cannot have an illegal position on the board" and therefore the hit-checker is placed on the bar.

3. I like "legal plays" and after many years of "we can't enforce them since we not have monitors on each match", I am considering installing them for my Masters and Championship division in June 2013.

4. I am reviewing the Simborg/Bower/Horton e-published rules very meticulously with the plan to lobby hard for replacing or improving the current U.S. Backgammon Tournament Rules & Procedures (mod. 2009) that we have been using in clubs and ABT events.
