USBGF National Internet Champions!!

Congratulations to Adam Versaw, Scotty Kelland, and Kat Densison, winners, respectively, of the 2012 USBGF National Championships in the Open, Advanced, and Intermediate Divisions.
On Sunday, February 24th, Adam defeated Doug Amenda in a very hard fought, well played, and exciting best 2-of-3 15-point match set 2 matches to one. Many watchers were entertained by their world class play. Adam and Doug will represent the U.S. on the 2013 Nations Cup team. Both have also qualified for the playoffs in the 2013 USBGF Live Championships.
The USBGF National Internet Championships had over 330 entrants in the three divisions. It is, possibly, the most difficult backgammon tournament to win, especially in the Open Division, where it required 13 match wins against world class competition to emerge victorious.
Congratulations to the finalists in the Advanced and Intermediate Divisions, Jess Jetstadt and Leon Marzillier, for their very impressive showings!
