This is a hard call. Of course leaving a voluntary shot isn't a happy thought, but the safe board-building alternatives are all suboptimal, and abandoning the midpoint relieves too much pressure on the opponent. In contrast, 11/3 starts the next point in line in our board, and also leaves diverse builders to cover it. I think on balance the advantages outweigh the disadvantage of the shot, so that's my play: 11/3.
