So if I keep trying to enter against a 5-point board, it is possible that I will never roll an entering number, but nevertheless the probability that I will eventually enter is 1.

You got it. Another phrase the probability theorists like to throw around is almost surely. You will almost surely enter, eventually. With your luck, you'll be dancing a while.
