Someone Please Explain

Maybe Neil, Stick, Chuck or some of the others can explain this play to me. Obviously, there are only two real choices. Snowie says I made the wrong choice. The guy I was playing bet me I made the wrong choice -- another $20 !! And, even after looking at Snowie and rolling it out, I obviously still don't understand the difference.

Then, regardless of the play and to add further insult to injury, he rolled his best roll and I went on to lose the two points and eventually get shut out in the match. Ouch !!

I'll not bias anyone by giving my play and thoughts now but will share later. Thanks for the thoughts and the help.
