White is Player 2

Blue is Player 1

Blue to play 32

eXtreme Gammon Version: 2.10

If Blue hits inside and then splits his anchor, X = 24/22 5/2*, he will be exposed to return shots with 3, 4, 5, and 6. That’s a little to rich for me.

H (Hit) = 10/8 5/2* makes a useful blocking point from which Blue can also attack if the dice allow it. Blue has the better board right now, so pressing his attack should serve him better than creating options for his opponent to attack.
