I agree, I always thought that would be the solution to the bandwidth problem. Some chess-sites also use this way of broadcasting important matches (ICC for example). It must not be hard with backgammon, as in the big matches in big backgammon tourneys somebody is monitoring and transcribing the match into a laptop anyway. Just some add-on software would make it possible for it to be broadcasted by the transcriber, and watched by people who would download some add-on or standalone program.
