I'm using OpenOffice Calc instead of Excel, but I doubt that's the problem.

Yes it is.

LibreOffice doesn't recognize (BD:BD) - you must use (BD2:BD9999). And for confidence I used =CONFIDENCE(0,05;BF2;BD2:BD9999) [change to decimal point if you don't use decimal comma]
