If we play 18/17 6/2 then we get a double shot when Black rolls 11 21 31 (5 rolls), and with 41 51 32 42 (8 rolls) we get at least a direct shot.

Holding the 18pt with 6/1 gives us a direct shot if Black rolls 11 21 31 41 51 22 32 42 33 66 (16 rolls) but no double direct shots.

18/14 6/5 or 18/13 has the advantage of not killing a checker, and increasing the chances of closing our board, but there are many fewer rolls that give us a direct shot. For example after 18/14 6/5, only 21 31 41 51 give us a direct shot.

OTB I'd try 18/17 6/2 but it looks like 6/1 is close.
