Vancouver (BC) Summer Classic 2013

Bob, as this is our first of hopefully many more to come, it was decided amongst the organizing committee to relax some of the procedures surrounding the Tournament. HOWEVER, should out Tournament Director (Robert Chow) deem the schedule to be lagging on account of a few participants, he will NOT hesitate in imposing clocks to keep things moving. There will be a few "Glitches" on the weekend, I'm sure, but the bigger picture must be looked at. Does the goal of promoting BackGammon in Vancouver and around the Pacific NorthWest trump EVERYTHING. Yes, in my opinion. To those who know me, you'll understand what I've been trying to do over these last number of years. To those who don't, all I ask is that you be patient and keep an eye on the PNW as we continue to grow. Each day we get a little stronger. The ULTIMATE goal is to have the ABT come back to Seattle and I'm just doing my part in an attempt to make that happen. The VBC Summer Classic 2013 is the FIRST step in making that happen. Again, promotion of BG in the PNW is the MAIN GOAL. Everything else is secondary.
