Driving tournament attendance with bots

If they are so inclined, it seems to me the bots could help drive tournament attendance.

During the recent BG tournament, while waiting for my lunch to be served I was playing XG iPad. One of the waiters approached me and mentioned he was a casual player, asked if was online, etc.

So I told him about XG and about the tournament at the Flamingo and NVBG. But here was a casual player, lived in Vegas, interested in BG, and didn't know there was a tournament a few blocks away, never mind one each week.

If he buys or has a bot, it would help tournament BG if there were some sort of "Social" component that let them know how and where to take the next step.
