And now.. Since I re-read the title of that post... lol.

It is a dilemna. Was the intent to pick up the checker? Was it clear? Was it an error? Perhaps you should ask?

My previous post was (obviously) aimed at the player who had declined to play LM.

In this case, I think you are asking if its right to point out an error. I have recently taken to deliberately saying nothing when an obvious mistake is made by opponents. In this case, I would be inclined to blame my opponents mechanics, and allow them the opportunity to play it properly, but, I would probably warn them that I wont point it out again. I suppose it depends on the day and how I feel. Hard to say. Humm.
