Rule 33-7 was not applied correctly, imo. This rule is intended to cover those situations when a player has no chance of knowing that he is breaking the rules, eg. microscopic movement of the ball, and it is noticed by the TV-viewers.

Tiger should have been able to play by the rules, noting that the drop rules are not new and they come into play on numerous occasions during every tournament.

I agree that Tiger got an unfair break, presumably due to the TV ratings.
