Nice find and obviously worth more than a few bucks! But some comments from viewing the auction photos:

1) At first it looked to me as though a light-colored checker is missing but it appears to be stuck in with the dark checkers.

2) No dicecups are shown -- probably no longer with the board.

3) A big question is size. Based upon a comparison of the (5/8 in?) dice with the checkers my best guess is that this is a 1.5 inch (diameter checker) set but of course being able to actually measure them with a ruler will reveal the true number.

4) Combining the style+color of the checker marbling and the condition of the handle (deteriorating leather) plus the shape of the pips, IMO this is a mid-70's to about early 90's set.

5) The condition of the playing surface appears excellent although the resolution of the photo could be better so the paint on the pips probably isn't quite as good as it looks. Likely over its history this set wasn't played on much.

All in all, if it's a 1.75 inch set it could be worth $100 (maybe even a bit more). If it's only a 1.5 inch set then considerably below that as it's much less desirable among serious (tournament) players.
