Defending vs. a 1/3 backgame

In Response To: Defending vs. a 1/3 backgame (John O'Hagan)

I definitely don't what to help white's inferior timing, so no hit. I also don't what to leave two checkers stranded on the 18 pt and sacrifice my flexibility while white quickly improves her board. That leaves 18/13 10/8 as my choice. Granted, white will probably hit our blot on 18 and we might hit one of her blots while entering, but with so many white blots it would be extremely difficult not to be forced to hit something, however I don't want to do that voluntarily.
