Kurzweil believes machines will be capable of simulating a human brain by 2029. Most understand that powerful home PCs will be capable of the number of calculations the human makes around 2020. I think it's reasonable to think that at some point close to when the complete human brain is simulated we will have a computer that can explain things to us in a way we can understand.
