White's position is far enough advanced that I think hitting on the 15pt is correct. This may improve White's timing, but more often I think it causes crunching problems when he can't leap Blue's 5-prime. I suspect Blue wins more games and gammons with this approach. In the meantime, Blue should try to slot the 8pt, so White is forced to hit if he leaps. For the 3, I'd like to play 15/12, to aim another checker at the 8pt, but I think 21/18 is more urgent, to get clear of White's offense.
