I think that the double is clearer ATS than for money because Blue doesn't have to worry as much about getting gammoned if the tide turns.

I think that gammons are in favor of blue, not white. Of course I agree that white can take easily both here and in money games. Too many players would pass this due to this horrible crushing sequence though.

One good question would be: do you re-double against a weaker opponent ATS and ATC (at this cube value)?
