Yes, they are splits at even-away, 1-away, post Crawford.

That’s because slotting on the first roll cannot work. On the second roll, the leader may hit or roll strongly (i.e., certain doublets). When he does, he takes the cube on the third roll. Otherwise, when he misses the hit, or fails to roll a strong doublet, he uses his free drop on the third roll.
