Somehow I missed this thread (I think I confused it with another one) but I'm glad I found it eventually. 10/6 8/3 is incredible! I would have played two down from the midpoint.

I'll note this one on my list of favorite positions of 2013 (though I have a personal bias towards original positions as opposed to positions from others' games).

Though in general I like your emphasis on distribution of spares, it doesn't seem to me that it explains 10/6 8/3 because 10/6 is part of the play. I would accept unstacking as a big part of the explanation for 10/5 8/4.
