Fastest Windows laptop under $500?

I have a latop close to the one (in terms of cpu) that David reference of bestbuy.com It is ok for doing normal rollouts (It does not make sense to run a 1296 rollout of 4-ply checker and XG+ cube as it will need many hours) and will probably be a very good solution if you travel a lot. If you want to perform long rollouts, Chuck's advice on a cooling pad looks great.

I also like the idea of using remote connection tools for utilizing a fast desktop (there is a very good application called splashtop that makes remote connectivity from android (mayby iphones/ipads as well) very-very easy, even when you want to run XG on your desktop from your mobile). If someone could combine both a laptop and a remote connection it would be great.

In your situation (no remote connection possible) the aforementioned laptop looks a good choice.
