I would pay 1/8 of the field. 2 players for 16 tournament, 1 players for 8 tournament.

More exciting and reward more for strong players.

Paying 8 players in 16 player's event sounds very boring to me especially after flying from other side of the planet...

Regarding hedge, Some people generously give me a better odds for the hedge and we discuss the fair odds but I also believe most fair way to hedge is just playing out without hedge. In the long run luck factor will be eliminated.

I'm saying this because a lot of players get upset when I refused their "fair" odds and think me as greed and egoistic. but really making a mistake in oddsing can be 1000 blunder easily, isn't it? At least please don't get upset with me, I'm simply overestimating my skill, not underestimating your skill. Or let's just play - its always fair!
