I have to admit that I laughed a lot with your post. Nothing funny there of course and your post is very helpful. But with every detail you mentioned, I understood that my donkeyness was bigger than I thought and then even bigger than I thought. Then I started wondering how big i could end up believing my donkeyness is by the time I reach at the end of your post. And indeed as I continued reading it, I realised it was even bigger and even and even bigger.

When I referred to timing, I meant to speak for the cases where white manages to make the 18 anchor next turn. I meant that when blue's anchor is more back, white can retain the 18 point and continue playing constructively for longer before he has to give away something valuable or break the anchor. I will be more clear next time :)
