What becomes of the two-way game?

An ideal position for going through each dice roll and return roll then tallying it all up. I'm too lazy to do this in full.
Three sensible plays of course: 1) 24/18; 2) 2* and 22; and 3) 2* and 7/5.
I think I'd have played 22 and 2* fairly automatically, whilst noticing that 1s 5s and 3s hit loose if you come off the anchor. This leaves 7/5 as an alternative 2, but then 52 hits on the 18 (worse than being hit in board) and 61 also (i.e. it escapes).
Now I'm thinking that 55, 54, 52 play badly if you play 18, but this can't be enough compensation for all the 6s that come out, and after a no return hit from blue it looks like d/p.
Short answer: I don't really know, but a brief look again and 18 seems nice timingwise.
N.B. This is where the game goes beyond my understanding, but I do notice that a successful loose hit leaves you still not good enough to cube, whereas a lemon from white followed by a hit after the 18 play, leaves you with a good cube, as in I'm not sure if white could even take. To what extent is it correct to favour a play which might lead to a quicker cube?
