A new 5ghz 8 core AMD processor for consumer market

Probably should point out that this processor apparently in many respects will be around parity (in performance) to Intel Core i7-4770 running about 3.5ghz (which had a TDP around 85w).

See Haswell(microarchitecture) on Wikipedia for details on this chip -- which is quad core. (Maybe obvious from the part-number? Wasn't obvious to me, though.) I also wonder if that 'parity' includes price. AMD has to compete somehow, and recently (as in 2-3 years) price has been about their only trump card.
