A new 5ghz 8 core AMD processor for consumer market

AMD has to compete on price, correct. Unfortunately there are no numbers for this new processor but it is the same design as the FX-8350 but clock rate can go to 5.0ghz vs 4.2 ghz. Given this comparison of the older FX-8350 and the Haswell, I projected that these 2 chips would be on par if the clock speed could be pushed higher. That was based on this data:
http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-4770K-vs-AMD-FX-8350
There are 2 cores per module and 4 modules per chip on these AMD processors. The cores on a module share some components (Like a single AVX unit). It was recently discovered that XG's performance could be significantly increased by turning off AVX and allowing the cores to use the SSE units (There are 2 SSE units per module, so each core can utilize its own).
Standardized benchmarks (Passmark etc) may not always give us a best estimate of performance between one design (Haswell) and AMD's new FX chips for a particular application like XG. Will be interesting to see how these processors do in the context of XG on their best settings.
Out of curiosity does anyone have an i7-4770? Would be curious to know how many Pos/Second it gets vs Frank Berger's numbers in this thread:
