Cube action?

This is another intriguing and tough doubling decision from John.
  • I count 27 shots, but many leave the opponent with a double-direct shot from the bar. Shots: any 3 or 4, 11, 21, 22, 52, 55.
  • The race is nearly tied, so any cube must be based on attacking or priming chances. In this case, it looks like it would be primarily the attack.
  • Down at 9a-7a gives us a small incentive to cube earlier than we would in unlimited games.
  • Are gammons balanced, with each player facing the same gammon risk?
Over the board, I would not cube. The take looks OK.
