I think it's close between hitting and making the 5 point. The hitting play has the added value of duplicating 5s. making the 5 point equalizes the boards while white is still short on ammo to attack. anchoring is misguided as it creates an opportunity for white to escape a back checker while hitting. 5pt still gets the nod.
