I meant to come back to yesterday’s position, but never got around to it. I was tempted to play out to the 18pt point, but wanted to analyze some more before posting. One play I would not have made is the natural opening 61. The safe candidate I was looking at was 13/6 or 13/7 23/22. I have not checked the bot, but I suspect 24/18 8/7 is better than both.

For today there is little reason not to challenge on the 20pt. If XG rolls a POH number, we would not be much better off having stayed on the 24pt. Since this move invites an attack, I don’t want to leave three blots on our side. That’s a closer decision. Slotting might be fine.
